7 Of The Coolest Bromance Bro Duos In Anime

Power of friendship, eh?

It’s the most beautiful thing when an anime gets it right and in this post we’re going to talk about exactly that. We’ll go through 7 of the Coolest Bromance Bro Duos In Anime.

This post is basically Part 2 of another one we did a while back.

You can check that one out here: Part 1 of dynamic Bro Duos.

One thing to note here is that I have not ranked the list in any specific order. The Bro Duo at number 1 isn’t necessarily better than the Bro Duo at number 7, they could be though.

Well then with that said, let’s talk about them,

1 - Thorfinn And Einar

“Vinland Saga”

In the wake of the second season of Vinland Saga, the first Bro Duo on our list is “Thorfinn and Einar.”

It’s easy to see how long their friendship is going to go and if you are someone who has read the Vinland Saga manga, you already have proof.

From working on a farm as slaves for years, to getting freedom, protecting the farm from King Canute, and then setting out to Iceland. The story continues in the manga and while I don’t want to spoil it, let’s just say that they have come further than you’d expect.

It’s also nice to see how Einar is basically the first real friend Thorfinn makes ever since he left Iceland as a kid. Naturally, the same goes for Einar.

Since he lost his family, Thorfinn is his first friend.

They both have unreal compassion and trust in each other, so much so that their brotherhood is the kind that can make even a grown ass man shed a few tears.

2 - Iori And Kohei

“Grand Blue”

The friendship between Iori and Kohei is very different in comparison to the friendship between Thorfinn and Einar. They are quick to lie, backstab, and downright betray each other if push comes to shove.

Well, I guess that’s how College friendships usually are.

But you know what. As destructive as their bro dynamic may appear on the surface, the two of them do have genuine respect for each other. Whenever it really counts, they won’t betray each other.

I’d say, if you haven’t read Grand Blue, this should be the manga on your priority list.

Not only is it by far the funniest manga I’ve ever read, Iori and Kohei may very well be the best comedic duo in anime and manga.

3 - Gojo And Geto

“Jujutsu Kaisen”

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Second Season came out recently and with that we have the friendship between Gojo and Geto.

It’s sad to see how it ultimately ended in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film, but in the few episodes we saw of Gojo’s past, it’s clear that for both of them, the other was their best friend, the one and only.

What I love about them is the “bittersweet” nature of how their story ended.

Everything went wrong in the Hidden Inventory Arc, it’s easy to see why Geto took the path he took, and it’s also easy to see why Gojo killed his best friend when he did.

A short yet bittersweet story indeed.

4 - Shigeo And Ritsu

“Mob Psycho 100”

How about a bro duo featuring real brothers?

Shigeo and Ritsu from Mob Psycho are brothers who look up to each other. Shigeo loves his brother because he is so charismatic, intelligent, and athletic. While Ritsu respects his brother for his unreal Psychic powers and proclivity to do no wrong, but at the same time, Ritsu was also afraid of his brother.

He was afraid and even envious because he himself didn’t have the same powers.

The conflict in their relationship was sorted out very wholesomely when Shigeo simply hugged his brother. He was just happy that Ritsu is safe.

5 - Nicholas And Worick

“Gangsta.”

Next we have a couple of gangsters, namely “Nicholas Brown” and “Worick Arcangelo.”

As blood brothers working as mercenaries who can handle pretty much any kind of job you give them, these two share unreal chemistry. Even the police and major syndicates can’t help but seek their services because they are simply too competent at their jobs.

I’d say, if you want to see the Coolest Gangster Bro Duo in Anime, this is the anime you need to watch.

These two thrive in the criminal’s paradise, the underworld.

We’re talking about partners in crime, bros who always have each other’s back.

6 - Isagi And Bachira

“Blue Lock”

When talking about Bromance Bro Duos, how can we finish the list without including a Sports duo? Especially one from a recent anime?

Even in a story like Blue Lock where the entire premise is about devouring others, there is potential for some great friendships to be forged. Isagi Yoiichi and Bachira Megumi are one such case.

While Bachira needed a monster who could match his intensity, Isagi needed someone who could support his brisky skills. The two of them hit it off right after disqualifying someone who was supposed to be the “Jewel of Japanese Soccer.”

By the way, speaking of Blue Lock, there’s also other duos like Nagi and Reo. Yes, Blue Lock may disguise itself as a hardcore survival manga, but genuine friendship duos are still there.

7 - Senku And Chrome

“Dr. Stone”

And last but not the least, we have Senku and Chrome from Dr. Stone.

Just a pair of scientists playing “3D Minecraft” in a post-apocalyptic world.

You got to love them for it though, despite their completely different upbringing and the vast difference when it comes to their mutual knowledge, they are still able to work together on Science all the while having fun.

Honestly, Dr. Stone is full of Bromance.

Ryusui and Senku make one hell of a duo as well.

Same goes for Stanley and Dr. Xeno.

And let’s not forget Senku and Gen either.

Dr. Stone knows how to use the Power of Friendship the right way. Am I right or what?

So there you have it folks, these were 7 of the Coolest Bromance Bro Duos in Anime.
