While a modern-day simp is recognized by the amount of money they have donated to some e-girl, simps in anime are a little different and can be quite interesting.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the top 5 biggest simps in anime that suffered a little too much just to receive the affection of another person.
5. Zenitsu Agatsuma
Let’s kick things off by talking about a simp that is also the creepiest person on this list. Whether it’s platonic, seductive or negative, Zenitsu craves female attention. This boy is ready to do anything just to have a girl by his side. In most of the series, we just see this simp chasing after Nezuko, but later on, in the series, he never lets go of any chances to creep out other girls in the series as well. Unlike Tanjiro, Zenitsu doesn’t really care about fighting or getting stronger.
4. Misa Amane
Yep, females can be simps as well, and Misa Amane is a prime example. This girl literally knew that she was being used by Light for his own selfish goals, but she never left his side. Misa went as far as to give away half of her life-time not only once but twice, just to impress Light. And the only thing she wanted Light Yagami to do in return was to act like he was her boyfriend. Misa is probably the dumbest simp on this entire list as she never quite realized just how evil Light was.
3. Twenty-Fifth Baam
Baam is a simp that you just can’t help but feel very bad for. This boy doesn’t really thirst for the other gender as a whole; he’s just in absolute love with this girl named Rachel that helped him overcome his loneliness. One day, Rachel suddenly left Baam all alone and went climbing the Tower of God. Of course, despite having no powers at all, Baam decided to follow her. He thought that she did what she did for a good reason. However, the reality is that Rachel absolutely loathes Baam. The poor boy goes through a lot of trouble just to find her but ends up getting betrayed by her yet again.
2. Kazuya Kinoshita
Okay, this one is just pathetic! Kazuya is someone who definitely deserves his spot on this list of the top 5 simps in anime as this boy goes a bit too far. Kazuya paid a girl to act like she was his girlfriend. However, miraculously, that perfect girl actually starts to like him. But this dumb simp is not able to control himself and starts to get controlled by his psychopathic ex-girlfriend again.
1. Subaru Natsuki
Just like Baam, Subaru is also someone that you seriously feel bad for. This boy can’t really be called a degenerate simp as he does actually fall in love with Emilia, but the things that he does for her, especially at the start of the series, were just too insane. Subaru got tortured again and again and literally died, but he never stopped loving Emilia and stood up for her at every step along the way.
