Top 10 lightning users in anime

There are several power systems in anime-verse, especially within the Shonen genre. Alchemy, quirks, nen, chakra, devil fruits, and lots more. This approach integrates the concept of element control which never gets old. The elements of water, air, and fire were commonly used in anime till they advanced and started to integrate other elements to fine-tune the concept, with lightning being one of them.

In this post, we'll look at the top ten lightning users in anime. Lightning users have access to one of nature's most powerful element. The lightning element is distinct as it depicts each user as extremely powerful and cool. The ability to control lightning and electricity has continuously been shown to be one of the most powerful elemental abilities, as evidenced by the characters on this list. Brace yourself for one hell of an electrifying list. Without further ado, let's get started!

10.      Zenitsu Agatsuma (Demon Slayer)

Starting with one of the most popular Shonen on the planet, demon slayer has built a name for itself in the anime community, and fans are eagerly anticipating the next season.

If first impressions are anything to go by, Zenitsu appears to be a bumbling sidekick good for a few laughs, a natural coward who is terrified of everything. however, this board of energy had the most badass moments in demon slayer, with not one but two incredible performances in the anime.

9.   Denki Kaminari (My Hero Academia)

Kaminari Denki is a student of U.A. High, class 1-A. His Quirk is "Electrification," which as the name implies, is an electric-type Quirk. It allows him to manipulate electricity, his powers, as well as his luck with women, are uncontrollable.

Kaminari can unleash millions of volts at once, but it's basically just an area-of-effect strike that doesn't distinguish between friendly and hostile targets. Denki short-circuits his brain if he surpasses his wattage limit, rendering him dumb for an hour and preventing him from activating his Quirk or doing anything else until he recovers.

He does, however, start using support items later in the series that allows him to regulate his powers and be more accurate with his charge. And if he keeps going in that path, Kaminari could end up being a terrific Pro Hero.

8.   Gilthunder (The Seven Deadly Sins)

Gilthunder is a Holy Knight of Britannia with a Diamond rank who specializes in lightning magic. Gilthunder, unlike other Holy Knights, employs his specialty magic effectively and creatively, being able to use it both offensively and defensively. He can also use his magic to enhance his physical talents, giving him great strength and agility. He’s also able to channel his lightning magic through his sword.

Gilthunder is intelligent and adept in combat due to the training he received from Meliodas, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins. He takes all this to his advantage and establishes himself as the shining Knight of Britannia.

7.   Killua Zoldyck (Hunter Hunter)

Killua is a descendant of the zoldryk family, who are widely regarded as the world's deadliest and most famed assassins. before he became a hunter, this little assassin was ripping people's hearts out quicker than they could blink, and then he mastered nen, catapulting him into legendary status.

With his newfound mastery of transmutation, Killua soon discovered that he could manipulate lightning and transform into a human lightning bolt with the speed and power to match. Even yupi, a chimeric ant royal guard, couldn't match the savagery of his whirlwind and lightning techniques.

6.   Luck Voltia (Black Clover)

Luck is a member of the black bull squad. He's always smiling as he has a near-sociopathic personality where he can't seem to express anything but joy. He also has a deep fondness for fighting and defeating his opponents.

Luck's magical ability allows him to control lightning. his magic has vastly improved since Lufulu (elf) took possession of him, making him stronger.

5.   Dei (Darker than black)

Dei is one of the most badass electric users, taking control of quantum physics in the form of electricity. Despite losing his electricity-based superpowers, Dei still kicks serious ass and shows the fan how it's done. Do you want to see him in action? Then watch darker than black; it's an underrated show that deserves greater attention.

4.   Laxus Drayer (Fairy Tail)

Laxus is the renowned grandson of Fairy Tail's Guild Master, Makarov Dreyvar, and one of the series's most prominent magicians. He employs the lightning legendary Dragon Slayer magic, which allows him to generate a variety of techniques that are nearly impossible to defeat.

From delivering an electric headbutt to Hades’ face to wiping out all of Raven Tail with his Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic, the bad boy of the Fairy Tail Guild has proven time and time again there’s nothing that he can’t zap. He possesses a large amount of magic, endurance, reflexes, strength, and durability. His desire to keep his guild and city safe makes him a difficult foe to overcome..

3.   Uchiha Sasuke (Naruto)

Uchiha Sasuke, everyone's favorite ninja, kicks off our top three. Aside from Kage bunshen and Rasengan, Chidori is one of the most recognizable techniques in the Naruto series. And who better to have on the list than Sasuke, the master of it. I know Kakashi is the genuine originator of Chidori, but I chose Sasuke since he plays a larger role in the plot and has developed Chidori by combining it with numerous techniques, resulting in entirely new evolutions of the original techniques.

2.   Misaka Misoto (Certain Magical Index/ Railgun)

Mikasa Mikoto, the Railgun herself is the 2nd on this list. She began as a supporting character in A Certain Magical Index, but has since collaborated with her sisters to create a spin-off series “A Certain Scientific Railgun”.

Misaka is well known for her signature technique “The Railgun”. By manipulating energy she’s able to turn anything as harmless as a coin into a dreaded beam of death. As one of the few level 5 espers in academy city, misaka is a beast when it comes to blasting off anyone or anything that steps up to her short stature. She is a ferocious electrical user, capable of generating up to 1 billion volts.

1.   Enel (One Piece)

Finally, there’s the lord of Skypiea himself. Enel isn’t titled God for nothing. As a Devil Fruit user, He wields the Goro Goro no Mi, a logia-classed power. Enel's lightning strikes can produce temperatures of above 10,000°C and unleash billions of volts, roughly 200,000,000 volts. That's enough power to wipe out an entire island, which he easily accomplishes. He's just that powerful, and frankly, if Luffy didn't happen to be made of rubber making him immune to most of Enel's lightning-based attacks, he would've lost to Enel. Regardless, Enel is regarded to be the strongest lightning user in anime, as discharging over 200,000,000 is no joke.

So, we’ve come to the end of this post. Let us know what you think of the list in the comment section. Also, you can come up with your ranking if you disagree with the one above. Thanks for the read!
